Packing and Breweries! (D -6)

Packing, it seems, may get easier with practice but certainly does not get more fun with time.

Graduation was surreal, of course.  I can't believe that two of the most transformative years of my life passed so quickly and with such an awkward convocation.  In retrospect, I will just claim that the First Epistle of DFW to the Graduates was read as we all listened on.  (And I'm glad to have reason to continue my tradition of reading this every June.)

But now I am in a world of packing.  And I don't think I've ever owned this much stuff.  As you can see, the books alone took up more than half of 13 boxes.  With the paintings and kitchen supplies, it will end just short of 20.  And then there's furniture, most of which can be broken down but still -- wow.

Which is why I'm so lucky that Chicago friends have insisted on brewery tours of Three Floyds and Revolution in the past two days.  It's always hard to say goodbye to some of the most incredible people I've met, but the bitterness is somewhat easier to take with a good beer in hand.

On to new adventures!
